A little bit about me...
As a Ghanaian-American born in Texas, braised on the East Coast, and glazed in Latin America, I have always loved a good story. As a kid, I enjoyed writing and acting out stories, and today I now build them in audio form. My entire life has centered around discussing identity, culture, and celebration, and I have found opportunities to explore all of these things whether it was an internship at an NGO in India or working as an English teacher in Spain.

After more than seven years abroad working in India, Spain, and Argentina, in education, digital marketing, and HR, one of the strongest skills I was able to hone was the ability to listen. My passion has been, is, and will always be capturing marginalized stories and finding ways to amplify thevoices and communities of the folks who have lived them.
In 2016, when I lived in Argentina, I started a storytelling night called First-Hand Buenos Aires. The event gathered people from across the globe to share their thematic stories.

I followed this passion for storytelling in 2019 when I started my podcast, No Country For Moving , which focuses on stories of migrants and immigrants and the nuances of moving to the US through the lens of cultural adaptation from their homeland.

As an urbanist, I have been an educator and facilitator surrounding themes such as the erasure of the Black and Brown community in public spaces and tools steeped in manifesting Black futures. I was able to achieve this through being a volunteer-turned-board member from 2019 – 2021 of the BlackSpace Collective.

In the Spring of 2022, I was a Create Change Fellow for the Laundromat Project, which allowed me to deep dive in socially based creative practice with a focus on community-building and how power is utilized.

Since 2021, I have worked on the production of audio stories for a historical Black history and cultural tour of changemakers and business owners in Fort Greene, Brooklyn (coming soon) for Fort Greene Parks Consverancy.

Currently, I am an audio journalist for my 9-5, ut in my free time you will find me enjoying a panel discussion, all forms of accessible art, and any opportunity to dance.
